The Cooperatives Bill (National Assembly Bills No. 7 of 2014) has been introduced in the Senate. This Bill seeks to establish a legal framework that supports a sustainable and competitive cooperative sector within a devolved governance system. It aims to enhance the promotion, registration, regulation and supervision of cooperatives while defining the responsibilities of national and county governments in the sector.
