The Budget and Appropriations Committee is established pursuant to Standing 207 of the National Assembly Standing Orders. The Committee —
(a) investigates, inquiries into, and reports on all matters related to the coordination, control, and monitoring of the national budget;
(b) discusses and reviews the estimates and makes recommendations to the House;
(c) examines the Budget Policy Statement presented to the House;
(d) examines Bills related to the national budget, including Appropriation Bills; and
(e) evaluates tax estimates, economic and budgetary policies and programmes with direct budget outlays.
