‘An Educationist, a People’s Servant, and a Champion of progressive politics’: President Ruto and other Leaders Eulogize Late Malava MP as he is laid to Rest𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐚, 𝐊𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
The late Malava Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi was today laid to his final resting place at his Lugusi home in Malava,Kakamega County.
In a requiem Mass steered by the St. Theresa Catholic Church where he faithfully worshipped, mourners paid glowing tributes to the late MP, led by His Excellency President (Dr.) William Ruto. Terming Hon. Injendi as a dependable leader and a friend, President Ruto lauded the admirable traits of the late legislator.
“He was a Peace hero, a development-oriented leader, and a faithful christian who proudly wore his rosary everywhere he went. He was never embarassed about his christianity, and remained unashamed of his faith.” Eulogized H.E Dr. Ruto.
Speaking on the positive progress that the deceased MP made during his tenure as Malava MP, National Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetang’ula reassured the constinuents of Malava that he, alongside other leaders, would ensure that Hon. Injendi’s pending projects are seen to completion.
“Although he is gone, Hon. Malulu was an honorable man who kept his words to his people, “ he said.
“It is for this reason that we will ensure that every project that he started before his untimely death will bear fruits, even as we await the bi-election of his successor. I assure you that there will be no vacuum in service delivery.” Added the Speaker.
Leader of Majority Party Hon. Kimani Ichung’wa remembered Hon. Malulu as a champion of education matters with a wealth of knowledge and experience, a commendable addition to his legislative contributions as Malava MP.
"Having served as the Vice chairperson of the Education Committee, Hon. Malulu was very instrumental in addressing matters affecting the education sector, and his passion for it was undeniable." Stated Hon. Ichung'wa.
The family of the late MP called on his Constituents to carry on his legacy, and appealed to President Ruto to ensure that his dreams and visions for his people's unity, construction of access roads, and uplifting the learning institutions in Malava are all realized.
The late Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi succumbed on 17th February 2025 after a short illness.
