Selection panel to start shortlisting process of qualified candidates for positions of Chairperson and Members of IEBC

Thursday 6th March, 2025

Following the publication of the longlist of applicants for the positions of Chairperson and members of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the Selection Panel is now gearing up to start the process of shortlisting qualified candidates who applied for the positions before proceeding to do the interviews.

By close of the application deadline on 15th February 2025, the Panel had received 1848 applications, however, after a verification process that was done before longlisting, the Panel narrowed the applications to 1356.

“To account for the number released on 16th of February 2025, a total of 211 applications were duplicates either in soft or hard copy, 91 were un-referenced, 14 were stray applications and 176 were email replies by applicants to the Panel’s Email auto response acknowledgement,” the Panel’s Chairperson, Dr. Nelson Makanda, stated earlier in a press release to the media houses. #IEBCSelectionPanel#IEBC #Chairperson#Members #2025
