The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Gladys Boss joins Kenya and the world in celebrating the 2025 International Women’s Day

"This year's theme to accelerate action is a call to ramp up our collective effort. When women thrive, our communities and economies flourish," she says.

In her message to Kenyans,Deputy Speaker, Hon. Gladys Boss Shollei addressed the challenges in dealing with Gender Based Violence and Femicide. She called for the Inspector General of Police to relocate gender desks to hospitals.

"We need gender desks in hospitals where victims will go for treatment so that first hand evidence and information can be collected to fast track prosecution of perpetrators."
