The Kenya Women Parliamentary Association (KEWOPA) and the Institute of Public Finance (IPF) held a strategic meeting with staff from key parliamentary committees as part of the ongoing Strengthening Parliamentary Leadership for Improved Health and Gender Outcomes (SPALTA) program.
The SPALTA program aims to empower parliamentarians with the knowledge and skills needed to advocate for and implement gender-transformative policies that enhance health and gender outcomes.
The meeting brought together staff from specific parliamentary committees, including Budget and Appropriations, Finance, Health, Social Protection, and Labour.
The primary objective of the engagement was to solidify the engagement roadmap, especially in light of the recent restructuring of parliamentary committees, to ensure seamless progress in implementing the program.
