IEBC Selection Panel to start interviews for shortlisted applicants for positions Chairperson and members

Oral interviews for the shortlisted candidates for positions of Chairperson and members of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) are set to commence tomorrow on Monday 24th March, 2025.

The interviews for the candidates who applied for position of Chairperson will run from Monday 24th March, 2025 to Wednesday 26th March, 2025.

The first day of the interviews will see four candidates: Abdulqadi Lorot Ramadan, Anne Atieno Amadi, Charles Ayako Nyachae and Edward Katama Ngeywa appear before the Selection Panel at 8:30 am, 11:00 am, 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm respectively.

Meanwhile the candidates who applied for the positions of member will be interviewed from Thursday 27th March, 2025 to Thursday 24th April, 2025.

The venue of the interviews will be at the College of Insurance South C, Nairobi. 

Earlier, the Panel which is responsible for recruiting nominees for appointment as Chairperson and members of the IEBC released the names of shortlisted candidates. 

According to the notices published in the Daily Nation and Standard newspapers on Friday, March 14, 2025, the panel, chaired by Dr. Nelson Makanda, shortlisted eleven candidates for the position of Chairperson.

Additionally, the panel shortlisted 105 candidates for the positions of members of the Commission. 

The names of the shortlisted candidates were also published on the Website of the Parliament of Kenya. 

The shortlisted applicants are required to present their original national identity card or passport, along with original copies of their testimonials and certificates. They must ensure that these documents are returned to them before leaving the interview venue.
