Teamwork key for excellence in parliamentary sports, says DG Nyandiere𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
The Director General for Parliamentary Joint Services, Mr. Clement Nyandiere has called on the Bunge Sports Club Secretariat and sports coordinators to foster teamwork to enhance the facilitation of parliamentary sporting activities.
Speaking during a retreat to review the 14th Edition of the East African Community Inter-Parliamentary Games which were held in Mombasa County last year, Mr. Nyandiere emphasized the importance of unity within the team.
He noted that strong collaboration between the secretariat and coordinators would ensure the successful organization and participation of Parliament in future sporting events.
“I urge you to work as a team. The coordinators should closely collaborate with the secretariat and develop strategies to achieve better outcomes,” he stated.
He further stressed the need for a seamless working relationship, adding, “We must build solidarity between coordinators and the secretariat ensuring a smooth and efficient system that enhances our performance.”
Mr. Nyandiere commended the team for their impressive efforts in organizing and participating in the 2024 games, where Kenya played host. He acknowledged the high level of organization witnessed during the event, attributing the success to the dedication of the secretariat and sports coordinators.
Encouraging the team led by Mr. Dishon Nyagah, to continue demonstrating excellence, he urged them to actively promote sports within Parliament. He emphasized the importance of sporting activities in fostering unity, fitness and friendship across the region.
Additionally, Mr. Nyandiere took the opportunity to appreciate the Parliamentary Service Commission for its unwavering support of sports activities. He appealed for continued commitment and investment to ensure the steady growth and success of parliamentary sports.
