The Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Samuel Njoroge has urged the Secretariat and Coordinators of the Bunge Sports Club to demonstrate resilience and dedication in ensuring the smooth running of all sporting activities at Parliament.

Speaking during Bunge Sports Club retreat, Mr. Njoroge emphasized the crucial role of sports in promoting wellness and regional integration while commending the team for their outstanding efforts in the previous year.

"I want to sincerely thank every one of you for the manner in which you administered the 14th Edition of the East African Community Inter-Parliamentary Games in Mombasa. You did a splendid job and I commend you for the great work," he said.

The Clerk praised the Bunge Sports Club Secretariat and Coordinators for organizing what he described as a memorable and well-executed event in Mombasa and challenged them to build on the lessons learned to enhance future events.

β€œI want you to borrow from the observations and lessons that you gathered during the 14th Edition and use them to help better the next editions of the East African Community Inter-Parliamentary Games,” he advised.

He further urged the team to begin preparations early for this year’s edition of the games stressing the need to avoid last minute planning. Mr. Njoroge called for enhanced coordination among team leaders, the Secretariat and Members to ensure effective execution.

β€œI appeal to the coordinators to have a seamless working plan with the secretariat and Members to ensure the best possible outcomes,” he stated.

Clerk Njoroge concluded by highlighting the broader importance of sports, noting its contribution to both physical and mental health and its role in fostering unity across the region.

He assured the team of his continued support and expressed Parliament’s confidence in their ability to deliver excellent results in both preparations and performance at the upcoming games.
