𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒: Residents of Kieni Constituency in Nyeri County gathered today to share their views on the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
The exercise was organized by staff from the National Assembly and held at the local National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) office.
Led by their Member of Parliament, Hon. Njoroge Wainaina, the residents expressed their appreciation to the National Assembly for giving them a chance to participate in the process. They especially welcomed the effort to formalize the NG-CDF, which they described as a great relief to the community.
"This is not a personal initiative, but a Parliamentary one. That is why Parliament staff are here to guide this important exercise. CDF has been very helpful to us. Remember, this is the first constitutional amendment since 2010," said Hon. Njoroge.
The proposed Bill seeks to formally include the National Government Constituencies Fund (NG-CDF), the Senate Oversight Fund, and the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) in the Constitution
