Runyenjes constituency has made its stance loud and clear—resoundingly supporting the proposed Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill No. 4 of 2025. On the third day of the ongoing Public Participation exercise.
Leading the team was Runyenjes MP Hon. Erick Muchangi, accompanied by Embu Woman Representative Hon. Pamela Njeru and Mbeere South MP Hon. Eng Bernard Muriuki.
The trio engaged locals in a high-energy sensitization program focusing on the significance of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), and the proposed Senate Oversight Fund.
The lawmakers emphasized how the funds serve as powerful tools to improve infrastructure, enhance service delivery, and empower marginalized groups—especially women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
Residents voiced strong support for the bill, calling for an increase in allocations stating that the funds have transformed their communities and urged for greater resource distribution to further local development goals.
As the country weighs in on the Amendment Bill No. 4, Runyenjes has firmly placed itself on the map as a beacon of civic participation and grassroots mobilization.
The message from Runyenjes was clear; development begins at the constituency level, and the people are ready to take charge of their future.
