National Assembly, through its public participation forums, engaged residents of Saku Constituency and the office of the Marsabit County Woman Representative on the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2025

National Assembly, through its public participation forums, engaged residents of Saku Constituency and the office of the Marsabit County Woman Representative on the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
Residents fully supported the Bill, citing the positive impact of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) the National Government Affirmat Action Fund (NGAAF). and the Senate Oversight Fund
According to the residents, through NG-CDF, the community has benefited from Bursary allocation for needy students, construction of schools and improved education infrastructure, job creation through local projects and improved security infrastructure
The residents further stated that they are banking on the fund to undertake the proposed construction of Teachers Training College in Marsabit and the proposed construction of three ICT Hubs.
The participants also submitted that the Fund has greatly facilitated the construction of toilets in various primary and secondary schools, resulting to improved access to quality education and hygiene in schools
On the other hand the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) was praised for regular distribution of sanitary towels across the county, providing bursaries to vulnerable people, supporting women empowerment and widow support programs, organizing Super Cup tournaments to nurture local sports talent as well as empowering Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
Residents also supported fully the anchorage of the Senate Oversight Fund in law.
