Senate Trade Committee deliberates on the National Assembly ammendments of the Start Up Bill, 2022.๐๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฒ, ๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก, ๐๐๐๐.
The Senate Committee on Trade, Industrialization and Tourism chaired by Senator Boy Issa Juma (Kwale), convened to discuss the National Assembly amendments on the Start Up Bill, 2022, which is sponsored by Nominated Senator Crystal Asige.
The Bill was passed in the Senate on 21st February 2024 and transmitted to the National Assembly on 5th March 2025.
The Speaker of the Senate reported to the house regarding the passage by the National Assembly of the Startup Bill (Senate Bills no 14 of 2022.) and indicated that the national Assembly considered the said Bill and passed it with amendments on Thursday, 16th January 2025.
The Start Up bill seeks to provide a framework to encourage growth and sustainable technological development, new entrepreneurship employment, create a more favourable environment for innovation, attract Kenyan talents and capital and for connected purposes.
